Composer, musician and engineer.
A musician first, the Virginia native got his first Kay guitar at age 12.
By 17, Keith was rocking with local bands, often on the road,playing a variety of music styles from country to rock, jazz, R&B and even a little funk.
In the late 70’s, Keith attended James Madison University in Virginia, then headed south to Texas where he attended Southwest Guitar Conservatory, headed by Jackie King. After graduating, he taught at SWGC for three years. It was during this time that Keith began to do some recording and jingle writing.
After spending several years in a home studio and later in with other local studios, the new Keith Harter Music facility opened in 2001.
Keith is an active part of the running of the studio business, especially enjoying the opportunity to arrange and play on many of the music projects that come to KHM.
Keith has two sons who are also in the music business. His oldest son Jonathan is part of the KHM staff.

Hi, I'm Jon. I'm an audio engineer/musician/student. In addition to working in the studio, I play drums and write music for two bands, A Kid Named Thompson, and Prevail Within.
When I'm not at school, you can usually find me playing or writing music or developing an entrepreneurial project like my new record label, Batten Down Records, or recording and producing a band.
I also enjoy expressing myself through many other art forms like creative writing or graphic design and layout. Other than that, I enjoy riding my bikes, staying fit and developing the relationships in my life.

Completely fluent with Digidesign Pro Tools, controllers, related applications and plug-ins. Extensive experience with mix-to-picture, sound design, dialogue editing, music mixing/editing, ADR, Foley, VO recording, and audio restoration.
Strong knowledge in all areas of audio/video sync including machine synchronization, time code, video switching, and machine control. Working knowledge of Apple Final Cut Pro. Experienced with Apple DVD Studio Pro DVD authoring application and web-format media.
Professional Spanish voice talent since 1992. Experience in digital graphics, web design, creative script writing and Spanish translations.
A member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) and American Federation of Musicians (AFM).

GL is thrilled to be working at Keith Harter Music! She has a Bachelor’s of Art from the University of Texas at Austin, and has worked in “show biz” for many decades.
GL is taking care of business in every way – estimates, craft services, special set-ups, talent, accounts payable, etc, etc, etc.
In 2005, she was the proud recipient of the Jasmina Wellinghoff Award for Special Contributions to the Theatre. GL is excited to be involved in yet another aspect of Show Biz!
